Description
BS in Mechanical Engineering from an
accredited college or university. Preferred
experience or course work in the area of machine
design, strength of materials and mechanical
vibrations. This position involves the support of
the installed fleet of utility steam turbines.
The group responsibility includes the
maintenance, repair, upgrade and replacement of
steam turbine valves, stationary components,
rotors, blades and bearings. Support activities
include troubleshooting of field findings,
disposition of deviations, development of repair
solutions and development of new component
designs to meet customer needs. The position
involves frequent interface with field, customer,
factory and management. Therefore strong written
and verbal presentation skills are also desired.
