JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is
responsible for leading the development and execution of
the Global TYSABRI Strategy and Execution.
Essential Functions of the Job:
. Lead strategy in alignment with overall Tysabri brand
strategy
. Develop and execute promotional strategy and tactical
plans
. Direct execution of promotional programs and tactics
consistent with strategy - globally
. Oversee the development of impactful promotional tools
to support communication
. Oversee all brand activities at Global MS/neurology
conferences
. Develop and maintain relationships with professional
societies
. Represent Global with the affiliates and drive
execution of TYSABRI Globally
. Coordinate corporate efforts with Key Opinion Leaders/
maintain relationships with KOL?s
. Ensure that the cross-functional teams? activities in
support of TYSABRI
. Support the development/update of the Life Cycle
Management Plan
. Provide commercial thought leadership at the Program
Development Team
. Partner with finance to develop/update Long Range
Forecast and to evaluate business opportunities
. Lead all TYSABRI discussions with partners and Joint
Commercial Team meetings
. Serve as liaison with International Medical Affairs
(Zug), Affiliates, ICO, Int'l Regulatory, and Int'l
Finance
. Build cross-functional team to support rollout of
TYSABRI studies, support appropriate regulatory strategy
based on consultant feedback, and develop Commercial
rollout plan
. Coordinate selection of commercial testing facility, as
needed
. Define strategy for rolling out TYSABRI in distributor
markets
. Explore pricing and reimbursement strategy across
markets depending on path chosen to make assay broadly
available
. Identify any obstacles requiring broader discussion and
input with regards to assay rollout in International
(e.g. feedback from markets, KOLs, etc)
. Creation, Development of Strategic Message Document for
Internal and External customers for all phases of TYSABRI
. Responsible for Global attendees and KOL?s invited to
Steering Committees and/or Advisory Groups
. Work in tandem to drive successful implementation of
communication strategy for Risk and Benefit
This individual will be required to work closely with the
following business functions to successfully lead various
initiatives related to the marketing of TYSABRI:
Sales Force
Affiliate teams
Regulatory
Legal
Market Research
Medical Affairs
R&D

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills:
Creative and strategic thinking; strong leadership and
influence skills; excellent communications skills; an
analytical approach to business problem solving; strong
project management skills; supervisory experience.
Experience Required:
. Seasoned marketing professional, with at least 8 years
of pharmaceutical commercial experience.
. Experience in development and execution of marketing
strategies is a requirement.
. Minimum of 5 years biotech/pharma marketing experience.
. Experience in specialty markets; of particular interest
are neurology, oncology, immunology or HIV. Multiple
Sclerosis experience a plus.
. People management experience strongly preferred.
Global Marketing experience is preferred
. Sales and sales management experience preferred.
. Must be adept at influence management.
. Must have excellent analytical, strategic thinking,
creativity, and problem solving skills.
. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with
cross-functional teams.
. Ability to work under pressure.
. Must exhibit leadership skills and ability to perform
in fast paced environments. Self-starter who functions
well independently or within a team.
. Strong oral and written communication skills required.
