Automotive Paint Technician Team Lead

Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to manage a captive plastic part paint operation located at our Module Facility in Ogden, Utah. This separate facility is located adjacent to a sister injection molding facility, as well as the final assembly operation. Technical and managerial competence is required to lead a team to achieve a corporate goal of zero defects while being responsible for lean manufacturing, operational performance optimization and continuous improvement.

$50,000-$100,000 starting salary, based on experience.

Relocation assistance will be provided.

Job Requirements

·         Strong Engineering background (technical degree is preferred)

·         Extensive experience with solvent-based 1K and 2K PU paints and fluid delivery systems

·         Hands-on competence with Fanuc robot programming and liquid coating application equipment and processes, and ability to adjust coating formulations to achieve color and gloss specifications

·         Ability to troubleshoot appearance and performance issues and train others in problem identification and resolution

·         Experience setting up a paint kitchen capable of quick change-over, as well as knowledge of various pre-treatment and paint cure systems; application of water-borne paints a plus
