JOB DESCRIPTION: To
provide Marketing Management and Senior Management
research and recommendations for strategic planning
regarding short term and long range goals relating to the
penetration of core products, new services, bundled
customers, and customer buying propensities. Take a
leading role in the long term planning and budgeting
activities.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Supports the VP of Marketing in long term planning
process (pricing, bundling, products, sales channels).
Works closely with finance analyst and finance team to
balance market share growth with OCF and FCF goals.
Prepares various statistical reports to measure sales and
marketing activities. Makes recommendations to increase
performance as necessary.
Develops and analyzes information concerning new
products, pricing and bundling strategy.
Develops and directs local research as necessary
including focus groups, printed and telephone surveys.
Analyzes and develops database information to better
target and understand customers and non-customers.
Recommends to Product Managers/Directors areas to target
based on demographics and competitive trends.
Interprets sales and marketing data to facilitate
decision making at all levels.
Proactively identify opportunities and concerns
encountered with database information.
Assists in the development of marketing plans including,
but not limited to, offers and customer segments.
Using data from various sources assists Marketing
Management with solving problems and gaining insight into
options related to business strategy.
Measures the performance of all Cox services, including
analog and digital cable, high-speed data and telephony.
Tracks and analyzes customer migrations.
Communicates research results to marketing team and
management through written and verbal communication.
Analyzes and reports Marketing Campaign results for all
products.
Performs ROI analysis for each campaign.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business Administration,
Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent
Masters degree preferred
Must have 5- 7 years of marketing research analysis
and/or database experience
Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions
Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to effectively and accurately analyze and
organize information.
Knowledge and ability to use the following
software/database programs: Chordiant, Discoverer, Oracle
product lines, AS/400 Database structures, and Microsoft
Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
Requires organizational skills, the ability to prioritize
workload and manage multiple projects
Must be flexible and effective in a fast-paced
environment
Ability to work with proprietary and confidential
information
Strong business communications and presentation skills.
Typical Training / Experience - Typically requires BS/BA
in related discipline. Generally 10+ years of experience
in related field, including several years in a
management/supervisory capacity. Certification required
in some areas
Influence/People Leadership - Manages via subordinate
supervisors OR A team of exempt professional individual
contributors and associated support staff OR May be a
manager without direct reports, with primary
responsibility for overseeing special groups/projects or
processes with dotted-line accountability to the field.
Ensures performance planning, coaching, and evaluation
occurs per policy. Recommends pay adjustments and
promotions
