JOB DESCRIPTION:
We're seeking a seasoned B2B product marketer to help
drive the strategy and execution for launching new
products in North America for merchants selling Digital
Goods. We’re seeking top talent with a
proven track record of success with extensive experience
in end-to-end product lifecycle development, including
solid go-to-market strategies and plans. The ideal
candidate has experience of working with Digital Goods
products, as well as expertise with defining the
marketing strategy, key objectives, target customer
segments, messaging, and marketing communications
necessary to drive merchant acquisition, cross-sell, and
engagement via multiple marketing channels. You
will partner closely with the Product Management,
Engagement Marketing, Partner Marketing, and Website
Marketing organizations on strategy and
execution.
- Manage all of the merchant-facing
elements of the go-to-market process to bring
products to market: research; naming, messaging,
positioning; collateral; marketing & sales
distribution plans
- Create tailored go-to-market
strategies to support new product launches for
Digital Goods and other merchant, including
definition of target customer segments, value
propositions, messaging, and roll out plans
- Develop and execute multi-channel
communication strategy that leverages online,
e-mail, phone, partner marketing, and
experiential channels to grow
PayPal’s share in North America
- Be the voice of the merchant, the
expert on insights and needs, work hand-in-hand
with market research
- Own benefits marketing –
clearly define the key benefits/proposition of
each of our products and develop bold,
telegraphic naming and messaging that bolsters
comprehension; ensure naming/messaging is
consistent throughout all communication
channels
- Link product innovation to
merchants’ needs – ensuring
end-to-end product experience is on
brand
- Leading internally and externally
- Collaborate
cross-functionally with key internal
partners, including Channel, BD,
Telesales, as well as other members of
the Merchant Marketing team.
- Work effectively
with external business partners to
identify potential joint marketing
opportunities
- Manage agency and
other outside consultants.
- Develop budgets and forecasts and
manage to them
